General Information
Nursing is one of the most popular courses of study at Neumann and Neumann University Library has many resources to serve our Nursing students. Nursing research can be very diverse. Scholarly articles, evidence-based materials, and textbooks are all components to a nursing major's studies. This guide has been created as a starting point for these studies.
Some points to remember about nursing research:
- Currency. Up-to-date information and resources are essential to nursing research. While each instructor's guidelines may be different, as a general rule, sources should be no more than five years old.
- Citations and References. Nursing research usually uses APA Citation Style. The guidelines are very particular. Students should consult the APA book, an APA guide, or their instructor for citations details.
- Scholarly Resources. Using scholarly, peer-reviewed resources is extremely important in nursing research. Students are advised to narrow their searches to scholarly journals and articles.
